Jackie was super... read more friendly and responsive and the ensuite room I had in her B&B was perfect (and very well priced) for what I needed for the few nights I was there - clean, quiet and comfortable. The location was also great, being only a short walk to Fistral beach, the main high street and the bus station. Thank you Jackie for a lovely stay.

Jackie is absolutely amazing at recommending hidden treasures and things to do in Newquay! We will be back again! Hopefully sooner rather than later!

We were greeted at the door with beer and banana bread. The WiFi was strong, the price was lower than most places in Newquay and we could keep our boards and wetsuits in Jackie's patio area. Really short walk to Fistral beach, equally short walk into the city centre. Could not recommend this stay any more - Thanks Jackie!

  For the last 8 years our group of friends have been all over for stag do’s and not once have we come across a place like this.

Beer... read more and cake on arrival, everything worked, cheapest cooked breakfast in town, tidy rooms, great host, 5 minute walk from bars and 10 minutes from possibly the best beach in UK.

Seriously underpriced. Cheaper to stay on holiday than run a household. We’ll be returning!

  I came here as a part of a 10-man group for a friend's stag do and was really impressed with Smarties Surf Lodge. We had a 6-man room and 4-man... read more room, both rooms with bunk beds. I've stayed in places before for group bookings and not always had the best experience, but this was not the case here. Despite being in bunk beds, the mattresses were great and we all slept well. The en suite shower is amazing, it had one of those waterfall overhead showers, loved it. The rooms were very clean with teas and coffees etc. There was wardrobe space and drawers which is handy when sharing a room with a few people. An iron and iron board was provided in the front room of the hotel and there were actual irons provided rather than daft travel irons you sometimes get elsewhere.
The owner Jackie was fantastic, very friendly and helpful. As soon as we turned up, she had a cold bottle of beer for us and home made banana bread, which was much appreciated. We booked in for a breakfast for the first morning too, which only cost £5 and certainly did the job to set us up for day. Jackie was great for recommending bars, things to do etc and also offered us certain deal such as pizza and a beer for a discounted price and she was just very welcoming and chilled out in a good way.
The location of the lodge is great, couple of minutes from the town and only 5-10 minutes walk to the beach, which is one of, if not the best, beaches in the UK and better than many abroad.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would go back again even if it wasn't part of a large group.

Nice breakfasts and I think we were fairly well behaved & got our bond back at the end. Thank you Jackie x x
